Upcott Farm, Croyde and Lee bay - Devon

A weekend spent in North Devon with Isabella and her family. I found the trip really inspiring and managed to do a bit of sketching which I will share later on. I loved Croyde beach with its sand dunes - the weather was lovely...perfect blue skies
Lee bay was one of the most unusual beaches I've been to. It was surrounded by high hills and forests and was very 'twilight' with it's grey cliffs and crevices. The beach had a particular colour scheme throughout, iron grey rocks with a turquoise green markings. A bit like the colour of oxidised copper. Then there was the reddish purple sea weed and the bright moss green plants dotted around and in between the rocks were the palest grey flat stones forming lines and spirals, back to back against each other which eventually must form the large rocks.
