I know this blogpost is late in two ways. Number one I have not blogged in absoloutely ages. Secondly, it's 23.02. I don't normally blog this late but I feel I have no choice, as my family are sitting here watching this awful horror movie Insidious. I started watching it with them and then realised it was just too creepy! I'm just too scared to go upstairs on my own until they finish so am now surfing the net. As a distraction I'm here, writing!
Anyway, just this week I was going through some of my old photography sketchbooks and realised how much I missed looking at photography. One of my favourite photographers is Ruth Thorne Thomsen who specialised in taking fantasy based pinhole photographs. Her photographs mix images of people, animals, landmark across vast landspapes. I love the imaginative qualities of the images and the fact that Thomsen has constructed these little magical scenes! Looking at the fine details are a perfect way of distracting me!
